“We can go where we want to

A place where they will never find

And we can act like we come

    From out of this world

Leave the real one far behind. – Wallace the Brave

Listen, there’s no “I” in “fun”. But there are 4 in “Frolicking in a gorgeous field of flowers”. I’m not entirely sure that expression applies here, but spiritually it makes sense.

“Excellent well, you’re a fishmonger. You’re my everything, you are my sunshine, you are old and gray and full of sleep, you’re my pickle-face, consumptive Mary Jane.” He paused, fluttering his wings against the wind, and added conversationally, “Your name is a golden bell hung in my heart. I would break my body to pieces to call you once by your name.”

The desire is to have the butterfly LAND on your hand. NOT to catch him. Right Wallace?

Seagull’s head poking above the flowers. Cute.

See, the thing Amelia is forgetting here, is that getting lost IS fun for Wallace. ;)

Then again, chaising butterflies could lead into unchartered adventures. Onward my friend…..

This made me miss my grandmother. We would go on long drives together, just the two of us in the days before GPS, and she would look at the open road and say, “Let’s get lost!” Off we went in search of adventure. Usually a couple of hours later we would explore something interesting, have lunch, ask for directions, and find our way home. Once we ended up calling home and overnighting it in another state! As a small child I was very concerned that I hadn’t brought a toothbrush. I remember her blithely assuring me that hotels have toothbrushes. And it did.

If you don’t see Sterling, don’t worry: he’s eating grubs, grasshoppers and other critters of the undergrowth under the flower canopy. :)

Think about it. I think that it’s worth the effort. It’s certainly going to do more for you than that Twitter link you rarely update.
